Network Provider

A network provider is a health care professional who has an agreement with the managed care plan to provide services to plan subscribers. The agreement usually establishes the managed care fee that will be charged, and the provider agrees not to change additional fees to the subscriber for treatment. Sometimes primary care physicians must also agree not to refer subscribers to out of network providers.
