I have been in private practice since 1997 and work with a wide spectrum of individuals, couples, adults, and adolescents.
I am also available for consultation, supervision, and as an expert witness for forensic evaluations. I have been working in mental health settings for twenty years. During that time, I have worked in hospital settings, community mental health centers, the adult and juvenile criminal justice systems, research and academic settings. I am a trained provider of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an effective and relatively short-term treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder. My goal is to help you meet the challenges you face in life and to help you maximize your strengths and potential. I draw from a variety of therapeutic traditions and tailor them to meet YOUR needs, personal style, and preferences. I believe that our past experiences are important in creating who we are and how we respond to the world around us. However, I want to help you develop solutions in the present that will enable you to move forward. I approach my work with knowledge, compassion, humor, pragmatism, integrity, and respect for individual differences and diversity,
