As humans, we are frequently challenged with the need to
adjust-- to unforeseen changes and transitions, to loss, to injury and illness, or to the pressures of everyday life. Sometimes adjustment is needed in
conjunction with an event or process of our own choosing (divorce, retirement, elective surgery, spiritual quest). As a psychologist, it is my responsibility and privilege to come alongside individuals and families
who are struggling with specific challenges, and help them to cope, problem-solve, and adjust in such a way that life can be lived as fully and genuinely as possible. Treatment begins with a thorough
assessment of your specific issues and the ways you (and/or others) may be impacted by your difficulties or circumstances. Treatment proceeds as a joint commitment to actively address the issues, taking into account
the whole person you are- physical, mental/cognitive, social/interpersonal, and spiritual.
I specialize in psychological and neuropsychological evaluation. I am experienced in understanding brain functioning in relation to specific psychological and neurological processes, such as brain injury, stroke, MS, or Parkinson's. I also provide psychological assessment with regard to surgical readiness (elective surgeries) job fitness, and desire for increased personal insight.
